The Trejos

We are a blended family of 6.  We have four amazing children. So needless to say our life is busy and we are always on the go. We didn't get into fitness or concerned about our eating habits till about three years ago. We have always had a passion for food though. Coming from a restaurant background our passion has always been in the food/service industry. That's why having our own food service business came so natural to us. Our main goal with starting our own business, was to actually make it affordable for families like ours to get healthy nutritious dishes. While also trying to partner up with local farmers to be able to provide the freshest and cleanest ingredients we can get our hands on to make these dishes.  It is an amazing experience and opportunity to be able to share this with our community and surrounding communities. 

The Chef

Like most Chefs, Chef Omar has worked his way from the bottom of the food chain to the top. From working as a bus boy to food runner, from a bartender to prep cook. You get the idea. he has done his fair share of hard work in every type  of kitchen there is. Arriving in the States in 1999 and always having a passion for cooking and creating new and exciting recipes and dishes. Daring to stand out from the rest by using different ingredients from different styles of cuisines, dishes and cultures he is one to keep an eye on for sure. Taking healthy meal prep to another level. Making it an enjoyable art form in a small white container. 

The Chefs Wife

Sandra Luna founded Trejos KC in 2017 with husband. and Executive Chef Omar Trejo. With the intention to help out their community and help lead the path to a healthier and more affordable way to be healthy. Family, Community and Health. these are pillars Trejos Kc strives to deliver with every dish.
